In 1997, 19-year-old Kyle Miller envisions starting a vibrant party backdrop business alongside his close friend, Eric Hernandez. While Kyle is enthusiastic and ready to take the leap, Eric hesitates, feeling weighed down by his parents’ high expectations. Instead of attending college, the duo dedicates a year to developing their business plan, often working during their routine visits to the local laundromat. One evening, their mundane routine is interrupted by a mysterious stranger who shares words of wisdom and performs an intriguing magic trick. Suddenly, Kyle and Eric find themselves unable to tell lies. As they team up to break this bizarre enchantment, they come to realize how much is at stake when honesty becomes an unstoppable force.
