Hiranyakashyap, the oppressive demon king, arrogantly claims to be a deity and dares to challenge Lord Vishnu. Despite his tyrannical rule, his son Prahlad unwaveringly remains a devoted follower of Vishnu. In response to Hiranyakashyap's defiance, Vishnu manifests as Narasimha—a formidable half-lion, half-human incarnation—to vanquish the demon and restore dharma.
