Ok-ja and her son Do-hyun resort to false registration in Daechi-dong, Seoul, aiming for better educational opportunities despite their limited financial resources. Do-hyun, jealous of his affluent classmate Sang-su who receives disability benefits, discovers that Sang-su is not actually disabled—highlighting flaws in government support programs. During university, Do-hyun and his new friend Ji-woo manipulate government policies to secure entrepreneurial subsidies, intentionally failing to take full advantage of the leniency. Driven by a desire for greater wealth, Do-hyun partners with investor Kevin in a risky cryptocurrency venture, sidelining Ji-woo. Their brief success is short-lived as regulatory authorities scrutinize their scheme, leading to its collapse. The duo's reckless pursuit of larger profits ultimately results in what can be called a “Death Business,” illustrating how greed and deception can lead to destructive consequences.
