One year after a devastating outbreak of flesh-consuming, mind-controlling worms, the quiet, nocturnal town of Ashland, Ohio, has succumbed to the parasites’ dominion. Led by the fanatical Mayor Joshua, a fervent group of Ranchers relentlessly promote the worms’ influence—using both persuasion and intimidation to sway others. Amidst this chaos, three uninfected women struggle to survive through scavenging supplies, maintaining strict personal hygiene, and staying hidden from the infected. However, as pressure mounts, cracks appear—leading to betrayals, acts of sacrilege, and horrifying bodily transformations that push everyone to their breaking point.
