As the new school year kicks off at Clearwater High, shapeshifter Carag and his friends Brandon, Holly, and Lou face fresh challenges. Before classes start, the Woodwalker Council must determine whether Andrew Milling, Carag’s mentor and the revered leader of the school, is responsible for human attacks. Carag finds himself torn: he wants to prevent Milling’s harmful actions, yet Milling offers him a compelling incentive—if Carag keeps quiet and covers for him during the council’s investigation, Milling will introduce him to his genuine puma family.
