In the near future, an enormous, indestructible alien tentacle named the "Spike" emerges in Earth's upper atmosphere, stretching an astonishing 10,000 miles across the sky. When the Spike unexpectedly teleports a struggling beekeeper's hives and a grieving wanderer's treasured car halfway across the country, these two unlikely individuals must team up.
