He yearns for a future beyond the escalating unrest that grips the land. Yet, history moves unyieldingly forward. The influx of Jewish immigrants fleeing anti-Semitic persecution in Europe increases, some arriving with clear Zionist-colonial agendas that threaten the fragile balance. Simultaneously, the Palestinian people unite in their largest and most sustained uprising against Britain’s three-decade-long control. As tensions mount, all parties edge closer to an unavoidable confrontation—an event poised to reshape the British Empire’s hold on the region and determine the course of its future.
