June 1944. Europe is engulfed in the chaos of war, as plans for the historic Normandy invasion are in full swing. Amidst this turmoil, Denis Porte diligently carries out his daily duties at a British military installation—though, in reality, the base is a decoy. His covert task involves orchestrating the movement of fake soldiers to mislead German forces and conceal the true location of the Allied invasion. Within the Porte family, there's a long-standing tradition of fathers and sons sacrificing themselves heroically for France. For Denis, risking his life is unthinkable, especially when it comes to protecting his mother. She tolerates only the safest, most mundane assignments—like managing the fake base—keeping her son out of danger. Everything changes after a chance encounter with Sami, an Algerian doctor with aspirations of meeting General de Gaulle. Over a drunken evening, fueled by camaraderie and spirits, they impulsively decide to join the upcoming operation. Their plan is daring but reckless—they set out with enthusiasm, unaware that they lack the correct date and destination. Meanwhile, Denis, who is reluctant to risk his life, finds himself caught in a dilemma of honor and safety. As D-Day approaches—or nearly does—they find themselves entangled in a series of unexpected adventures, blurring the lines between bravery and caution.
