After their beloved dog Merv loses his enthusiasm following their breakup, Anna and Russ find themselves navigating the most awkward co-parenting situation imaginable. Determined to lift Merv's spirits, Russ takes him on a trip to Florida for a much-needed vacation—only for Anna to unexpectedly join in. As Merv begins to regain his energy and happiness, it becomes clear that healing their dog's broken heart might also ignite a few sparks between them.
