Walker, a freelance artist and gig worker, is struggling to cope with the chaos and uncertainty of urban life. Hoping to regain control and improve his financial situation to strengthen his relationship with his driven girlfriend, Kylie, he takes on a high-paying yet unusual dog-walking assignment. The job leads him to a remote mansion, where he encounters Doug—a man who has chosen to live entirely as a dog. Though initially repelled by the sight, Walker decides to stay, rationalizing the dehumanizing experience as simply another job in his lineup.
