In 1993, Maureen’s six-year-old daughter, Amina, is secretly taken out of the country by her ex-husband, Karim. After years of fruitless efforts to locate her, Maureen comes into contact with a specialized investigator who specializes in recovering internationally abducted children. He offers to assist her in finding Amina, but only if she agrees to work with him.
